| 1998-440-1 | Colt Army revolver, 44 calibre, used by John Jackson Lindsay in Co B, 8th Reg., Missouri State Militia Cavalry in the Civil War. Lindsay was from Preston, Hickory Co., MO. The revolver is made of parts with mismatched numbers, probably done when the Army quartermaster was cleaning and repairing revolvers and mixed the parts when reassembling the guns.Currently on display in the case in the Civil War gallery. |
